Take learning outdoors! Visit some places of interest and learn about animals, responsible pet ownership, and veterinarians. For the most meaningful programme, the location, programme type, and group sizes are all dependent on the ages of your students.
Canopy Veterinary Centre
Programme Details:

A Day at the Vets
This first-ever vet-clinic programme offers a rare chance for children to learn about veterinarians and tour their place of work. Go behind the scenes in a vet clinic to see how a veterinary team helps keep animals healthy, then have a go at the vet play area to role-play and complete various vet tasks for themselves (dependent on students’ ages).
Programme available for pre-school and primary school level.

This unique tour provides an overview of the rescue process, as well as a behind-the-scenes tour of the SPCA clinic, conducted by Animals and Us Academy, who will take participants through the different veterinary equipment used and basic veterinary medical checks. You will even get to ask SPCA officers all about their experiences on the ground and the wonderful life-saving secrets that happen in #SPCASingapore!
This a drop-off only event. Parents will drop off and pick up their child at SPCA. Our Animals and Us Academy staff will be present to facilitate the drop off and pick up.
Learning Outcomes:
In this 2-hour Learning Journey with our veterinarians, we will be reinforcing the concepts we learnt about responsible pet ownership, animal health, animal welfare and behaviour. We will also learn about SPCA Singapore and their good work in helping thousands of animals every year. Participants will have the opportunity to meet the animals at the adoption shelter.
This a drop-off only event. Parents will drop off and pick up their child at SPCA. Our Animals and Us Academy staff will be present to facilitate the drop off and pick up.

Canopy Veterinary Centre is a vet clinic located near Jurong Lake Gardens. With a team of veterinarians passionate about educating children, they have opened their doors to allow facilitated tours and programmes. We also have a special Vet Play Area for younger children to role-play as vets and complete some tasks like investigating x-rays, performing ‘surgeries’, and preparing ‘medication’!
SPCA Singapore

Purrfect Class/Kitty & Me
This programme covers what cats need to be happy and healthy, and some basic behaviours of cats. The students might also get a chance to visit the cat shelter within SPCA Singapore premises (subject to availability).
